HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAYLA!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER SHAYLA! SHE IS A WHOPPING 29 YEARS OLD!! Who'd have thought that I would marry someone older than my older sister!! Here are five things I love about her!
1) She is super smart-and super good at her job! I could never do it!

2nd Annual VInce's Dinner!

So if you have never gone to Vinces for Spaghetti on Holt Dr. in Onterio, CA. you are missing out! Take a drive or get on a plane and head down to the place that has the yummiest spaghetti in the world! (not exagerating!) We have been going here for 40+ years and since our extended family continues to grow I decided we should all meet annually (even though we see eachother all the time) a Vinces' to grab some grub and catch up! (It's really an excuse to eat though...)

Pirate Party!!

The "Kraken" Pizza

So Tailors birthday is officially March 7th, but since we will be in Southern California then, we had an awesome pirate party today!! After going to a few princess parties this past year, I gently suggested that we do something different for Tailors birthday! So when we dressed her up like Elizabeth Swan she loved it!! We had the most amazing cake ever made by Aunt JO, played fun games, watched the cannons shoot out of the ship and listened to the rain storm come in the swamp! It was tons of fun, and here's a sneak peak ofAdd Image what you missed or what you came to!

Here's a pic of the scurvy naves that came to celebrate with T!

Pirate Cake

Jordi made this cake on Thursday and then drove down to come for Tailor's party and bring her cake. This was by far the best cake she has ever made for her. Tailor could not stop staring at it. When she saw it the first words out of her mouth were, "Wo Baby!" Jo has made all of Tailors since her first birthday but I tell you, it sure shows that she is in the culinary program! Thanks Jo!!

A 'crappy' morning!

This morning at 7:30am poor little Millie had the worst tummy ache to date! and Dave being the great Dad that he is was trying to let me sleep and handle it downstairs. Well Tailor came running into my room yelling "Mom! Millie is crying! Hurry!" Soon up came Dave and Millie and while I help poor little Millie, Dave called and spoke to the pediatrician about what exactly he thought was causing the poor tummy ache.... (we won't get in to details) As he is on the phone I was thinking, you know what other Dad would call the pediatrician at 8:30 in the morning to talk about their little babies tummy ache. I heart you babe! Thanks for helping with our girls!!

Tailor Gump!?!?

Ok so when I started potty training Tailor last August I can honestly say I had no idea it would take this long! I asked advice to anyone who might have something to offer," What am I doing wrong??" I sit back and run through the check list: well Tailor can do this, and spell that, and memorize this, so WHY the heck is she not a pro with the potty yet?? And people say, sometimes there is that stubborn child who will just perfect potty training when they are ready. Then I think well, does my child comprehend things as well as other two year olds or is my child a Forest Gump? So tonight I asked my mom and Dave "Hey do you think Tailor is a Forest Gump? I mean she's smart, and knows lot of things...why won't she just potty train and even more, why does she always ignore me when I am talking to her?" Well tonight she was wearing the new pair of jammies she earned by staying dry for a week and Dave came in to see her after her bathtime and asked her "Tailor where did you get those new jammies?!?!" No response... So I say "Tailor tell Daddy why you got to wear your new jammies tonight!" She says, "They're hearts!" So I get a worried look and say, "Tailor tell Daddy why...!" She ignores me again....I say, "Tailor answer mommy..." She says, "The store!" Then I give Dave a frustrated look and say, "No Tailor not where... why did you get them... tell Daddy why!" And she looks at me, puts both hands on my shoulders and says... "Mom... you need to relax!" And that was all it took I broke down laughing, I just couldn't hold it in and pretty soon my mom, dave and I were laughing so hard I forgot to be frustrated and worried, and my mom looked and me and said, "I think Tailor answered your own question." I think you always worry about your kids and you always want them to progress just as well as all the other kids.... but I think I'm still learning patience....
