My mother never let me so there!...

You know those things when your growing up that when your mom says no you think... you know what! I'm gonna let my kids do that so there! Well, this was one of them... in Cali there is never hot rain, so growing up my mom always said "you'll get a cold" if you play in the rain, well heck when it's 95F out and pouring and your 3 year old is begging to play in the rain, why not huh? My mom always said no... so have at it Tailor! (Now if you ask to pierce your ears or use non washable markers... sorry the answer is NO... I'm not crazy!)

You know how I love the park....

MY little girls are crazy about the park!! Thank goodness we live within five mile walking distance from one! They love, (and heck so do I) when Dad get's up with them in the morning and takes them to the park.. what a good hubby he even took the camera this time!

All Aboard

Hey even though we have been tons, there is still always something new to do at Disneyland! Here we are aboard the Mark VII! This is the newest monorail at disney, and we got to sit in the "dome" Tailor was beside herself, and we had a fun round trip around the park!

Beach BABIES!!

What is summer without going to the beach at least once?? Grammie and Paqua have a time share in Dana point, that is literally 10 steps from the beach and so we decided to go for the day and play!
So... can I just say what a realization it was when I told Tailor that morning that we were going to the beach and she ran in the other room and told my mom... "Mee-Maw... we are going to HAWAII!!!" (oops, has this kid been to Hawaii about five too many times??)
We got to Dana Point and she was so freaked out at first! Tailor has never been to a beach with seaweed or cold water! I guess I better get them used to the southern california poor man's beach eh??

So for July 4th, we BBQ'd swam all day, and then went to see Dad at work! The best part about him working, EVERY year on July 4th is that we get to sneak on the roof of the Skywest headquarters and watch the fire works, it's now become a five year tradition, that has always been so fun!! This year I also decided to try to be creative and I tie-dyed fourth of July outfits for me and the girls!! So so fun....

Happy Father's Day!

So after a couple batches of burned bacon and a smokey house, Tailor and I made Dad breakfast in bed. Eggs sunny side up, bacon (not burned), and tortillas w/ a side of super hot sauce! He would have preferred Eggs Benedict but the personal chef was attending singles ward... maybe next time Dad!

Happy Birthday to ME!

So who knew that when Kirby made "Singles Ward", he was married and had kids!! I didn't, but when we ran into him at Disneyland and chatted we got a bit of the low down! It was fun to see a mini-celeb on my birthday (even though by this time of the day I looked like serious crap!) and this time I actually got the guts to ask for a pic instead of stalking them for pics (refer back to the Nicole Ritchie blog)

So another fun day at Disneyland... here's a tip if you want to buy a pass! 1-Go to Costco to get your Deluxe Disneyland pass. They will give you a fifty dollar gift card for Disneyland! 2-Go to Disneyland on your birthday. They will give you $69 because you have a pass and you went on your birthday. 3- Use your $50 gift card and your $69 birthday fun card and up grade for free to Premium!

Crunch

So Jordi says it's dorky to post these, but I've had a few requests and rather than send out a mass e-mail here they are! My poor crunched car that I loved! It's funny keeping a car in perfect condition so it has great re-sale value doesn't so much matter when you total the car! Here's the story: Jordi and I were on our way to the temple to do baptisms for the dead and we were cut off by a car and to avoid hitting the car I swirved, over-corrected, rolled three times and stopped when I hit the side of a mountain. BUT no broken bones! I literally climbed out the window and walked away. So I'm grateful to the maker's of the HONDA Pilot b/c it was made to withstand everything it went through, and I'm grateful to my maker for the same reasons! Tailor went with Dave to take pic's of the car and I got a bit of a talking to from her for crashing her car!

All Dogs go to Heaven...

So our mini bear (he was to big to be called a dog) Raven finally had to go see the Big Kahuna in the Sky... he was 18 years old, couldn't hear anymore and had a tumor growing in his side... We all held off as long as we could because nobody wanted to take him to the vet but Grandpa and Dave finally took him and Tailor still does not understand where he is! I didn't want to tell her he was gone for good so I said they took him to the Dr. So she asked for three days if we could go get Raven from the Dr. and bring him home. (oops) So Aunt Jo explained that he is living with Jesus and Heavenly Father. So now she asks if she can go to Heavenly Father's house and bring Raven home...(oops again)
